Welcoming someone new to the team is always exciting, but welcoming someone who instantly feels like “one of us” is something special. That is exactly how it feels to introduce Liz Mangini as the newest member of the Delightful team.

Meeting Liz

From the very first conversation, it was clear that Liz brings amazing Senior Account Strategist experience and energy to the team. She doesn’t treat work like a queue of tickets to clear or assets to churn out. For Liz, every project is a new door hiding all sorts of treasures. A chance to build trust. Untangle thorny challenges. Build a campaign people remember. Quietly make someone’s day a whole lot easier.

Thriving on marketing puzzles

In a past work life, Liz led some delightfully complex multi-partner motions, including a four-way messaging exercise she still calls one of the most challenging projects of her career. Picture a meeting where several people are trying to be heard in a crowded room. Then, one person steps in and quietly turns the noise into a meaningful conversation. Now imagine those voices are global companies, each jockeying to lead a shared campaign.

When Liz tells the story, you realize the mastery of her approach. She’s not afraid to have candid side conversations, check alignment with the client footing the bill, and find solutions that feel fair and workable for everyone involved. For her, the solution makes sense when every partner can see themselves in it, and the customer never feels like they’re reading four different brochures taped together.

A strategist who loves a good story

In Liz’s world, storytelling is how you sneak real humanity into a campaign. For her, storytelling is not a buzzword. It is the only real way to differentiate in a world where everyone’s website says the same thing. She loves teasing out what is truly different about a solution or a partnership and turning that into a narrative that sounds relevant and real.

The flip side of a campaign is thinking deeply about the audience: where they are, what they are worried about, and what they need from her client. She connects the dots between business objectives and audience priorities, then tells the story from the sweet spot in the middle.

Curious, grounded, and human about AI

One of the most striking things about Liz is how seriously she takes relationships. She knows her client’s dog’s names, their kids’ milestones, and the stories behind the family photos on the wall behind them on video calls. In a world where AI and automation increasingly mediate our work, Liz believes that warmth and humanity matter even more.  

Liz has a very grounded view of AI in marketing. She is pretty clear about not confusing AI hype with what actually helps clients and campaigns. She is passionate about using AI to streamline the mechanics, leaving more time for the parts that cannot be automated. Listening deeply. Understanding nuance. Writing in a way that feels like a real person talking to another real person.

Why we are so glad she is here

The best way to describe Liz is that she is both strategic and deeply human. She can jump into a complex partner motion, ask sharp questions, and build an integrated plan that hits ambitious goals. At the same time, she will remember the details that make someone feel seen, nudge a conversation back to what really matters, and keep the story anchored in the customer and their world.
